Admission requirements<\/h2>

To enroll in master’s degree course<\/strong>, you must possess:<\/p>

  • a university degree recognized as suitable by the current legislation;<\/li>
  • the curricular requirements established by the regulations of the individual study programs;<\/li>
  • adequate personal preparation, ascertained according to the methods defined in the regulations of the individual study programs.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    In the case of a candidate with a qualification obtained abroad, the CIV (evaluation commission) will evaluate the curricular requirements on the basis of the time duration of the individual courses and the programs of the exams taken. It is also required to have knowledge of the English language at a level not lower than B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This knowledge is subject to verification, from which candidates in possession of suitable certification may be exempt.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Personal preparation requirements<\/h2>

    In accordance with the University Teaching Regulations, the CIV (evaluation commission):<\/p>

    • may propose to the CdS (study board) to accept or reject the candidate’s application on the basis of the documentation presented with the application for admission;<\/li>
    • may propose to the CdS (study board) to postpone the candidate to the admission interview, indicating the program on which the interview will focus.
      The admission interview has the purpose of ascertaining that the candidate has the necessary preparation to profitably deal with master’s studies. Interviews take place in at least two sessions during the academic year. The candidate can be assigned, with provision of the President of the Degree Course, a specific examining commission made up of two or more professors. The program of the interview, identified by the CIV, will be communicated to the candidate in advance by the President of the Degree Course. At the end of the interview, the examining commission formulates a definitive judgment of suitability or non-suitability for admission, possibly highlighting the missing requirements.<\/li><\/ul>

      Procedure and deadlines for submitting the application for admission<\/h2>

      Once the application has been submitted, the Degree Program Board proceeds to ascertain the curricular requirements<\/strong> necessary for admission to the course, and to verify personal preparation, according to the terms and methods defined by the regulations of the individual study programs.<\/p>

      You can monitor the progress<\/strong> of your application for admission through the admissionlm portal (https:\/\/admissionlm.adm.unipi.it\/), which you access with the same credentials used for the Alice portal.<\/p>

      If the outcome of the checks is positive, you are automatically enrolled<\/strong> in the chosen course. In the absence of the curricular requirements, enrollment in the master’s degree program is not permitted.<\/p>

      However, the Study Program Council can indicate the training activities suitable for the acquisition of the same, up to a maximum of 40 ECTS: if you accept, you are enrolled in the Single Transition Courses.<\/strong>
      The verification of personal preparation can be concluded in three ways:<\/p>

      • unconditional admission to the master’s degree course.<\/li>
      • admission linked to a study plan (in any case within the limits of the total 120 ECTS credits) containing certain training activities: you can request modification of the study plan within 30 days of enrolment.<\/li>
      • reasoned non-admission to the master’s degree program: the degree program council can in any case establish that personal preparation can be acquired by passing certain training activities (up to a maximum of 40 credits), and propose you to enroll in single courses of Transition to reach the required level of preparation.<\/li><\/ul>

        In order to be admitted<\/strong> to master’s degree course in paper and cardboard engineering, it is mandatory to have a three-year degree, or another qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable. The candidate must submit an application with attachments of at least the degree certificate, or equivalent, and the programs of the exams taken. On the basis of the criteria illustrated below, the possession of the curricular requirements and the adequacy of the student’s personal preparation are established for access to the CdLM in Technology and production of paper and cardboard, Class LM-33 Mechanical Engineering, pursuant to Art. 6, Paragraph 2 of the Ministerial Decree 270\/2004.
        Admission to the CdLM in Paper and Cardboard Engineering, Class LM-33 Mechanical Engineering is decided on the basis of the existence of both curricular and preparation requirements.<\/p>

        The Degree Program Board appoints a Preliminary Evaluation Commission (CIV), made up of two or more professors, with the task of:<\/p>

        • examine applications for admission;<\/li>
        • evaluate candidates’ curricula;<\/li>
        • verify the possession of curricular and personal requirements;<\/li>
        • propose to the Degree Program the admission or non-admission of the candidate;<\/li>
        • indicate any methods to obtain the missing requirements.<\/li><\/ul>
